Horizon Europe – European Commission

SimDyns Technology Solutions has joined an international consortium applying under the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-EIE-2026-01-CONNECT-02 — Expanding Investment Ecosystems — coordinated by Octa Insight AS (Norway). The proposed project, titled "Investment Bridge: Expanding Venture Connectivity for Digital, Health and Circular Innovation", is submitted under the EU's Interconnected Innovation Ecosystems programme (2026.1) as a 24-month Coordination and Support Action.

The project brings together partners from Norway, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Portugal, and the UK to build a cross-border investment-driven ecosystem linking strong EU innovation regions with emerging innovator ecosystems. The consortium includes OSTIM and Gazi University (Türkiye), TU Varna and Bulgaria Business Forums (Bulgaria), Ankara Medipol University, and FastTrack (Portugal/UK).

Project Objectives

The core ambition of the Investment Bridge project is to unlock venture capital flows between strong EU regions and emerging ecosystems, with a focus on three strategic sectors:

  • Digital Transformation — connecting start-ups and scale-ups to strong-region investors and accelerators
  • Health Systems Innovation — MedTech, digital health, and hospital-linked buyer engagement
  • Circular Economy — sustainability-driven manufacturing, waste management, and municipal partnerships

A central deliverable is the Dual Investment Gateway — an interactive platform providing regulatory, fiscal, and market intelligence to help investors enter emerging ecosystems and to guide start-ups on EU market access requirements.

SimDyns' Role in the Consortium

SimDyns contributes its expertise in deep tech training, engineering simulation, and energy management to the consortium's innovation acceleration workstream. Our experience in delivering EQF-aligned training programmes — including AI-powered cybersecurity and CubeSat courses in partnership with EIT Deep Tech — positions SimDyns to support investment-readiness bootcamps, technical mentoring, and the development of EU-ready start-up pipelines across the consortium's target regions.

The project submission deadline was 20 January 2026. SimDyns looks forward to contributing to this pan-European collaboration and to strengthening the link between deep tech capability and cross-border investment opportunity.
